The importance of research in overcoming breast cancer by 2050 was the theme at the heart of Breast Cancer Campaign’s Pink Ribbon Ball, held on Saturday 12 October at The Dorchester Hotel, London.

Celebrities from the worlds of music and TV attended and opened up about their experiences of breast cancer and why raising money for Breast Cancer Campaign’s life-saving research into the disease was so important to them.

TV presenter Zoe Hardman hosted the Pink Ribbon Ball and was joined by Pink Ribbon Ball Patron Linda Nolan, who spoke at the event. Guests were treated to performances from Camilla Kerslake, Blake and the Sing to Beat Breast Cancer Choir as well as Stacey Solomon. The single, You Raise Me Up, has been recorded by Camilla Kerslake and Blake which also features the Sing to Beat Breast Cancer Choir. A donation of 50p will be made to Breast Cancer Campaign for every download.

Other guests at the ball were, singer Heidi Range and actress Lauren Drummond. On arrival, guests enjoyed a champagne reception followed by a three course dinner. Guests took part in a number of fundraising activities including a balloon prize game and a table raffle, as well as a silent and live auction facilitated by Charlie Ross.
