Using systems biology as a novel tool for predicting cellular responses to Herceptin and tamoxifen

Synopsis

Dr Faratian will look to develop a method of predicting how an individual will respond to particular breast cancer treatments before they receive them.

Aims & Goals

This research could provide clinicians with a method of selecting the most appropriate breast cancer treatments for each person. In this way people will suffer fewer side-effects, and have the best possible chance of being treated successfully.
