Title

Regulating breast tumour cell survival through Bcl-x proteins: implications for therapeutic responses.

Synopsis

Dr Harvey's project is a continuation of previous Campaign funding. She will investigate a molecule called Brk, which she believes protects breast cancer cells from being destroyed by chemotherapy treatment.

Aims & Goals

This research may ultimately help make chemotherapy treatments more successful and help to lower the dosage of chemotherapy required (and therefore reducing the side effects experience by patient)
