Synopsis
This project will investigate how breast cancer cells spread to other parts of the body. The results could help scientists develop new breast cancer treatments to prevent this from happening.
Aims & Goals
The project deals with a potential mode of action of oestrogen, a key hormone in the development and progression of breast cancer. Unfortunately, oestrogen-based therapies are effective only for limited time so further understanding of the hormone�s modes of action could enable novel therapeutic regimes.
