Factors influencing delay behaviour in breast cancer
Following self-discovery of a breast symptom, approximately 20% of women delay for twelve weeks or more prior to seeking medical help. The aim of the study is to collect information from the general female population regarding knowledge of breast cancer symptoms and associated risk factors and an understanding of the implications of delay in health care seeking
The aim of the study is to collect information from the general female population regarding knowledge of breast cancer symptoms and associated risk factors, understanding of the implications of delay in health care seeking. It is anticipated that this data will help guide the development of an effective health education programme.
