Our campaigns

Breast Cancer Campaign is currently involved in a variety of policy areas that impact upon breast cancer research. We also work with a number of different charities and organisations in order to provide a united voice on issues of mutual importance.

Science for Life
The Science for Life campaign is about championing science and medical research to ensure scientists are motivated and able to carry out ground breaking research. Campaign actively encourages the scientists of the future through opportunity, education and training.

Getting better care for people with breast cancer
Campaign is a steering group member of the Cancer Campaigning Group. This brings together 40 of the UK’s cancer charities to work towards improving cancer policy and services. Campaign has helped to ensure that the Government launched the new Cancer Reform Strategy, and are now working to ensure that its promises will be implemented in full.

Within Scotland, Campaign is also currently contributing to the national discussion that has been launched to help develop a new cancer action plan.

Breast screening
Screening is vital in early detection and prevention of breast cancer. It is estimated that the NHS Breast Screening Programme saves thousands of lives every year. To encourage the provision and take up of this service, Campaign has joined forces with other cancer charities to launch the Screening Matters campaign, which focuses on three major screening programmes including breast screening.
