The charity has a particular interest in supporting innovative research and will fund the best breast cancer research in the UK and Ireland, providing that it is of the highest quality.

Comment on missed NHS target for breast cancer two-week wait

The national statistics on waiting times for suspected and diagnosed cancer patients accessing NHS services were today (29 August 2014) released by NHS England for the first quarter of 2014-15. In response to these figures, Breast Cancer Campaign has issued the following comment:

Update about Student Adventures

We are sorry to announce that Student Adventures, the company that organises student fundraising trips for Breast Cancer Campaign and other charities, has gone into administration. We received this information last night and have been working hard with other charities since to get clarity on the situation.

Comment on Jeremy Hunt’s announcement to extend the Cancer Drugs Fund

Today, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt announced that thousands more cancer patients in England will be offered vital treatments in a £160m boost to the Cancer Drugs Fund

Dr Geeta Patel’s PhD studentship, funded by Breast Cancer Campaign and supervised by Professor Diana Harcourt at the University of the West of England, is one of very few studies that have looked into the breast cancer experiences of Black and Minority Ethnic women.
