Breast Cancer Campaign's new fundraising initiative, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), enables all student unions in the UK to fundraise for the charity in a simple and fun way.
Simply take one of your club nights and turn it into a wear it pink party by asking everyone to come dressed in pink, adding a donation to the usual ticket price and holding some extra fundraising activities on the night. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so this is a great time to organise a wear it pink party at your university.*
However large or small your student union is, we have a fundraising level to suit you:
Bronze – parties which raise £100 +
Silver – parties which raise £500 +
Gold – parties which raise £1,000 +
Pink – parties which raise £2,500 +
*Don’t worry if you can't hold your party in October, you can have it any time.
What we offer
A member of Campaign’s Fundraising team is on hand to talk through any ideas and questions you have and we have put together a fundraising pack to provide you with all the information you need to organise a fantastic wear it pink party. We have also produced some great pink party materials, such as balloons, banners and posters, which you can order using the form in this pack.
PwC have kindly donated a number of prizes to help you raise funds and reward your efforts:
* A trophy awarded at the House of Lords ceremony, followed by a meal for five after the ceremony (up to the value of £200) for the Best wear it pink Party of the Year
* A £250 Red Letter Day Experience for the national raffle prize. Open to all guests
* A prize to the value of £100 to use in the raffle at your party (available for the first 20 parties registered)
* A £20 music voucher as a thank you to the organiser of each wear it pink party
