We are delighted to announce that the continued support of Ladbrokes and its staff has raised another £100,000 during Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2009! In its second year of support, the company has raised its fundraising total to a fantastic £200,000.
In addition to increasing breast awareness, staff across the UK once again wore it pink and took part in competitions, sweepstakes and collections.
The company's 2008 success was recognised at Breast Cancer Campaign's annual awards ceremony at the House of Lords where the company won Campaign's 'wear it pink Fundraiser of the Year 2008' award.
Ladbrokes' Trading Director, Mike O'Kane, said: "This was a great opportunity for everyone at Ladbrokes to support a worthwhile cause that will directly affect so many Ladbrokes staff during their lives. Breast Cancer Campaign worked with us to help staff and customers gain a better understanding of this condition, how to recognise it and how it can be treated. wear it pink was also a chance for everyone to have a lot of fun and the whole company got behind the pink theme."
Campaign gives a huge thank you to everyone involved - well done!
