Breast Cancer Campaign's current sponsor

Hallmark Cards

Hallmark Cards launched its ‘Cards for a Cure™’ campaign in 2006 to raise money and awareness for breast cancer charities around Mother’s Day. Campaign receives £225,000 and Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society, receives £25,000 from a range of cards and gifts.

For the 2010 campaign, Hallmark, in association with the Llewelyn-Bowens, has launched a photography competition asking people to send in a photo that they believe captures the essence of motherhood. The prize includes a £1,000 voucher to spend on photography equipment, your photo featured on a Hallmark card and a lovely prize for your Mum too. Entry is now open. Visit Hallmark's website for more information.

In 2009, Hallmark held a competition to find the UK's most inspirational Mum. Lesley Batey was nominated by her daughter, Amanda, and won a special Mother's Day card adorned with a diamond worth £3,000. The card was designed and signed by TV presenter, Tess Daly.

Since 2006, the ‘Cards for a Cure™’ campaign has contributed over £700,000 to 25 breast cancer research projects across the UK.

"Mother's Day is an incredibly poignant time to be talking about breast cancer, and we hope that our campaign will not only help fund these vital research projects, but also help Breast Cancer Campaign raise awareness of this disease." Lisa Palillo, Communications Marketing Manager, Hallmark Cards plc
