Baroness Delyth Morgan, Chief Executive of Breast Cancer Campaign, comments on today's news story that the NHS Breast Screening Programme is to be reviewed.

"The NHS Breast Cancer Screening Programme plays a key role in improving breast cancer survival rates through early diagnosis, as evidence has shown. It is vital that women continue to have confidence in the screening programme and we therefore support the Government's action to address the debate about the benefits of screening by undertaking a review of the evidence. In the meantime we encourage women to continue to attend their screening appointments."
